Personal User Experience (PUX) guidelines to improve active and healthy ageing solutions

Posted in News

The Personal User Experience (PUX) working group of the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIPonAHA) has worked for almost 2 years on how to improve Active and Healthy Ageing solutions by providing a personalized user experience. As a result, the guidelines for manufacturers and developers of Active and Healthy Ageing solutions aiming for a Personal User Experience have now been published.

A PUX-enabled solution accommodates an individual user’s specific wishes, needs, and preferences in a specific context of use, as much as possible, even when those wishes, needs and preferences change dynamically.
In consequence, a PUX-enabled solution development requires dedicated user involvement (user-driven design), something PROGRESSIVE is also calling for through its work (and guide) on “co-production”. A PUX-enabled solution will significantly contribute to the individual user’s empowerment, by supporting and training the individual user to better understand and express their own current and future wishes, needs and preferences.
The PUX guidelines also specifically recommend the application of standards when designing and developing products, services, solutions!
The PUX Guidelines are available here.
